Supporting Families Against Fuel Poverty

Together, we are committed to supporting families facing fuel challenges by providing vital services and resources. Our collaboration aims to raise awareness about Carbon Monoxide safety, provide energy efficiency tips, and offer financial support tools such as income maximisation calculators and debt assistance. Eligible customers can also register for the free Priority Services Register (PSR), ensuring extra help during energy emergencies.

Carbon Monoxide Safety

Signs of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Symptoms of CO poisoning can be easily mistaken for other illnesses. Be alert to the following signs:
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Breathlessness
  • Collapse
  • Loss of consciousness
  • How to Protect Your Home

      • Install a CO Alarm: Ensure that you have a carbon monoxide alarm installed within your home. Test it regularly to ensure it is working.
      • Regular Maintenance: Have all gas appliances checked and serviced annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
      • Ventilation: Make sure your home is well-ventilated.
      • Educate Your Family: Teach everyone in your household about the dangers of carbon monoxide and what to do in case of a CO leak.

    Cadent

We are thrilled to partner with Cadent on this initiative. Cadent already provides extensive support to many households in the UK facing fuel poverty. With the cost of living going up, we are determined to reach as many local families as possible to increase awareness and take advantage of such support as well.
