Among the thousands of inspiring riders who took part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, there were four closer to our hearts, who decided to take on this epic challenge event in support of Coram’s Fields.
With many miles of training under their belts, the prospect of 100 miles, at times in the rain, must have been daunting, as they waited to start the race. Their journey began in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, heading west through the city and across the Thames at Chiswick, before heading south and down into the Surrey countryside, before looping back north through Kingston and Putney Bridge towards a spectacular finish at The Mall.
Together, Richard (one of our trustees), David and Jamal (from Bladonmore) and Matthew (from Payne Hicks Beach) raised thousands of pounds for Coram’s Fields and did us proud! Well done to the four of you, this is a phenomenal achievement, and one which will help us to continue supporting children and young people in central London.
