Coram’s Fields: The Senior Youth Worker plays a key role in both the leadership and delivery of our Youth Programme for 11 – 19-year-olds at Coram’s Fields. In addition to leading on session delivery, our Senior Youth Worker also holds a caseload of young men at-risk of school exclusion and/or offending.

Project 10/10: The senior Youth Worker is a core member of the Project 10/10 team. There are three main parts to the role: co-facilitating a trauma informed space for young people aged 18-25; offering therapeutically informed 1:1s with young people; attending clinical supervision, reflective practice and team thinking spaces.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of open-access youth sessions, helping create a safe, inclusive environment and stepping in to lead when required.

  • Provide targeted one-to-one support to high-risk young men, focusing on emotional wellbeing, positive engagement, and long-term stability.

  • Co-facilitate weekly drop-ins for 16–25-year-olds alongside NHS and other partners, offering a supportive space and access to services.

  • Use trauma-informed and psychologically grounded approaches such as AMBIT to guide all interactions and interventions.

  • Offer practical support with key life challenges including housing, education, employment, mental health, and legal issues.

  • Build consistent, trusting relationships with young people and their families, encouraging engagement and positive outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams, contributing to assessments, care plans, and safeguarding processes.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate case notes and records, supporting effective communication, evaluation, and risk management.

  • Take part in regular team meetings, reflective supervision, and training, contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the service.

  • Act as safeguarding lead when needed, ensuring best practice and promoting the safety and welfare of all young people involved.
