We were deeply saddened to hear the news that after a long period of ill health, Coram’s Fields former Chair, Frank Dobson sadly passed away on Monday evening (11th November).
During a relationship with Coram’s Fields that started nearly 50 years ago, until his retirement early in 2019, Frank’s commitment to Coram’s Fields and the Holborn and St Pancras community that he served for over 40 years as MP, was immeasurable. He fought tirelessly to protect Coram’s Fields as a space for children and young people and was a staunch believer in providing children with a place in which they could, without prejudice or judgment, simply ‘lark about’.
He will be remembered with the utmost affection and respect by all those that knew him and worked with him. His remarkable contribution will ensure that children and young people in the community will benefit from the freedom and space that Coram’s Fields provides, for many years to come.
Our thoughts are with his family and close friends during this most difficult time.
