Family Dance Day

For one day only, The Place is taking over Coram’s Fields with a jam-packed day of entertainment for the whole family!

The ever popular Family Dance Day returns with a new line up of FREE performances and activities for children of all ages and their grown-ups.

Throughout the day there will be performances, dance workshops, interactive storytelling and arts and crafts!

This year, Family Dance Day will be taking over Coram’s Fields come rain or shine. Don’t miss London’s most exciting family dance event of the year.

What’s On

Step Hop House by Folk Dance Remixed

Experience folk dance like you’ve never seen it before! This high-energy, 30-minute performance offers a fresh, quirky, and colourful fusion of traditional and hip hop dance styles.

Expect maypole dancing, ceilidh, and clogging, blended with hip hop, street, and breakdance. All of this is set to the rhythm of live banjo, percussion, and beatboxing!

You Too Can Tutu is Gandini Juggling (Ages 5-11)

This is Gandini Juggling’s first-ever children’s show. Expect a tongue-in-cheek take on the grand storytelling of classic ballet, in which two ambitious characters are determined to create the world’s first juggling ballet!

Filled with infectious humour, this performance is sure to captivate and entertain the whole family.

the album: skool edition by SAY (Ages 3-10)

An energetic and joyous dance show created by SAY, a dance company founded by award-winning artists Sarah Golding and Yuki Masui.

Featuring fast-paced contemporary dance routines set to exciting new music, this performance invites plenty of audience participation and celebrates the joy of creating new dance routines!

Interactive Storytelling with ShayShay (Ages 0-5)

Watch, listen and join in the action as they read their favourite children’s stories!

Dance Workshop (Ages 5+)

Get involved with a fun and creative dance workshop, run by one of The Place’s brilliant workshop leaders!
