Volunteering Team

Join the Coram’s Fields volunteering team and do something incredible for your community!

Our amazing volunteers are a lifeline to us here at Coram’s Fields. These weekend group regularly roll up their sleeves and donate their time to help the park look better than ever! 

What we’re looking for

We have a wide range of ways you can get involved. Volunteers may stick to one task or mix it up a little. We’re looking for teams to help:

  • Support us with park upkeep, including planting and gardening and keeping the park tidy throughout the day.
  • Raise awareness of our fundraising efforts by talking to visitors about our charity and running campaigns, how to become a regular donor and signing people up to our mailing list.
  • Be a trusted point of contact on site, for visitors, talking to them about Coram’s Fields and providing up to date information on the park and services.

When volunteering at Coram’s Fields, we ask the following of you:

  • Most of all, we need you to be a friendly, welcoming face for our visitors, comfortable with speaking with the public.
  • We need you to support us with our different planting and gardening projects around the park as well as keeping the park tidy.
  • We need you to be dependable and punctual and are asking all volunteers to commit at least 3hrs a week (or 12 hours a month) but we’d love people to do more if they can!
  • You’ll have plenty of support, but you’ll also need to work without supervision, so will need to use your own initiative.

What you’ll get in return

On top of the satisfaction of providing vital support to the Coram’s Fields community, you will receive:
  • A volunteer induction full of all you need to know about the park and your role within it before you commence your volunteering.
  • Weekly briefings so you know what needs to be done for the week ahead.
  • Regular ongoing support from our team on site.
  • Lunch provided if you are with us all day.

I joined the gardening club after lockdown. It's amazing to spend time outdoors, doing physical exercise, learning new skills and meeting new people while helping and doing some good for the community, all in one!

Coram’s Fields is a children’s only park and playground and is open all year round for children under 16 years old.
