Green Spaces

Right in the heart of central London, Coram’s Fields has a range of amazing free green spaces for local families, children and young people to get immersed in:

Lansdowne Terrace

Wildlife Garden

Pavilion Area

Playground Area

East and West Lawns

The Tim Seward Wildlife Garden

A real highlight of our Green Spaces is The Tim Seward Wildlife Garden. Opened in April 2018, the garden is one of the few open gardens of its kind in Camden. Any park user can visit for free during park opening hours. You can find the entrance through the black gates at the top right corner of the park, right by the bright mural (painted by the Out of School Club).

What can you expect to find?

The wildlife garden runs along the east perimeter of the park, hidden behind the colonnade buildings and features some new micro-habitats. These consist of two ponds, a log pile, wormery and compost area, rockeries, and beehives towards the end of the garden. These micro-habitats are still in their early stages of development, so keep an eye out for small creatures and insects moving in!

Pick up some activity worksheets by the entrance and take part in mini-beast hunting, explore the log piles and plants by the raised ponds and see what exciting things you can find.

The Greener Futures Project

Since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, we have begun our Greener Futures project. Doubling down our existing efforts to protect and maintain our green spaces, the project aims to improve upon those more underused spaces in our park. As a green resource for all local families, empowering the community, and especially local children and young people, to take ownership of these spaces is a central part of the Greener Futures project.

Volunteer with us

Our community volunteers are essential to the Greener Futures project and the wider maintenance of our green spaces. If you are interested in joining our volunteering team and helping protect the green spaces of Coram’s Fields as a vital community asset, please visit our volunteering page.
