Park Hire, Events and Concessions

Park Hire and Events

Coram’s Fields exists first and foremost for local children, young people, and their families. Protecting our green spaces and playgrounds so they remain safe, welcoming, and freely accessible for local families is at the heart of everything we do.

At the same time, we know how powerful events can be. They bring people together, spark excitement, offer new experiences, and create memories that strengthen our community. For this reason, we’re happy to consider hosting events that:

  • are free and inclusive for local children and families
  • respect and don’t compromise our safeguarding commitment of no entry without a child
  • are designed to fuel imaginations and inspire creativity in young people
  • allow the park and its facilities to remain open and usable for families not wishing to take part in the event

Events that fall outside these criteria can still be considered, but will need to provide a significant income for the charity that can fund the development of the park, providing a meaningful and tangible benefit to young people and the community. These events must also demonstrate strong plans to minimise disruption for general park users and uphold our safeguarding standards.

We’re sorry, but we don’t accommodate small-scale adult-only events and gatherings such as picnics, lawn parties or after work gatherings. If you’re interested in organising a team building day, please see our Corporate Volunteering Page.

Please note that Coram’s Fields is an alcohol‑free site. Smoking, vaping, and animals are not permitted. We do not permit our spaces to be used for religious worship, political campaigning, or fundraising for charities other than ourselves. We require event organisers, staff and volunteers to have appropriate DBS checks in place and undertake responsibility for the health and safety of the event.

Our main event space, the West Lawn, is approximately 2,000m².

Supporting events takes time and care—from planning and risk assessments to infrastructure and on‑the‑day management. As a small team, this preparation work pulls us away from everyday operations and long‑term development, so event space fees apply. These fees directly support the park and help ensure we can continue welcoming both everyday visitors and future events.

We’ve proudly hosted a range of community events, including The Herds, the Camden Mela, Playday, Family Dance Day with The Place, and outdoor theatre productions. Check out their respective websites for more details. Future events are listed on our homepage.

If you’re interested in holding an event with us, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at info@coramsfields.org.uk.

Pop-up Park Activities and Concessions

During the summer months—Coram’s Fields welcomes hundreds of visitors a day, especially on weekends and during the school summer holidays and half-terms. Families, children and carers flock to the park looking for things to do, and we’re always keen to make their visit even more memorable.

On the west side of the park, we have a large tarmac area that’s ideal for pop-up activities and interactive experiences.

If you run a business that delivers high-quality, family-friendly pop-up activities, and are interested in operating in our space, we’d love to hear from you. We’re open to weekend takeovers or longer summer-holiday residencies. Examples might be mini-golf, pop-up curling, street games, sports challenges etc..

We’re a small team so concessions would need to be on the basis of us providing the venue, and you providing the equipment and running the operation. Staff engaging with young people will need to have appropriate DBS certificates and safeguarding training.

Our preferred commercial model is a venue fee for the space, with you keeping your takings. This said, we’re very open to trial periods on a revenue-share basis while we jointly explore demand and potential.

We have an on-site café serving drinks and snacks, but we are also happy to consider pop-up hot food concessions on summer weekends and during the school holidays, particularly where these are run by local community businesses and where the offer complements rather than competes with the café. Businesses must be registered, with appropriate hygiene certification, allergy awareness, and a valid LPG certificates (if applicable,)
