Coram's Fields and Cadent Partnership
Over the past year, Coram’s Fields, in partnership with Cadent, has significantly expanded the reach and impact of its Advice and Support Energy Efficiency Project across Camden and Islington. Through dedicated community outreach, the project has empowered vulnerable residents and families with practical guidance on energy efficiency, raised vital awareness about the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO), and supported eligible individuals in registering for the free Priority Services Register (PSR), which provides extra help during energy emergencies.
Activities and Achievements:
- Regular Energy Coffee Mornings and Awareness Events.
- Offering advice and support at community centres and public services.
- Organising successful Engagement Days at Coram’s Fields.
- Presenting the project to 50+ housing associations and 20 council teams.
Impact:
- Energy Advice: 14,928 individuals reached.
- Carbon Monoxide Awareness: 61 CO alarms distributed.
- Loneliness and Isolation Support: 394 individuals assisted.
- Volunteer Engagement: 7 Energy Volunteers on board, with 3 in progress.
The partnership between Coram’s Fields and Cadent Gas has brought about truly positive change in the community. By working together, We have not only helped families save money and stay safe, but have also created a stronger sense of support and connection among local residents. Their combined efforts mean that vulnerable families now have access to vital advice, practical help, and a friendly face when they need it most. Thanks to this successful partnership, the community is healthier, more informed, and better equipped to face everyday challenges—showing just how powerful working together can be.
