On Thursday 26th April, the Midtown Business Club (MBC) hosted their biggest event of the year, an annual gala dinner at the prestigious Rosewood Hotel. Over 170 business professionals attended and we were delighted to be invited along as this year’s charity partner.
The night proved a great success and provided a rare opportunity for us to showcase the incredible work that we’ve been doing over the last year, whilst giving us the opportunity to explore potential partnerships and support from across the local business community.
Following an address by our CEO, Stuart Woods and a Heads and Tails fundraiser, we were delighted to raise £3,500, whilst also securing an additional £500, courtesy of the silent auctioning of a luxury Midtown hamper, with donations from a range of local businesses including: Bar Polski, Carluccio’s, the Delaunay Counter, La Fromagerie, the Rosewood Hotel and Waitrose – thanks again to all those that contributed!
Sir Kier Starmer closed the dinner with a key note speech, reflecting on the importance of business and some of the challenges faced as we head towards the BREXIT transition period – saving time though to highlight the unquestionable importance of Coram’s Fields and the vital role that we play in the local community.
You can see the video from the Bloomsbury festival that we showed at the event here.
Thanks again to Ann Cadogon, Ian Roberts and the team from MBC for their continued support!
