Running in the Rain

On Sunday 14th October, among the thousands of runners taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon, there were five who were tying their running shoe laces in aid of Coram’s Fields – four from Goldman Sachs International, with the fifth being our very own Becca, our Youth Programme Arts Tutor!

The weather conditions were the worst this event has had in all the years it had been running, with heavy rain at the start of the race and cold winds. Cheered on by the crowds, our runners zipped by, powered on, soldiered through and stormed past some of London’s most famous landmarks – Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall and The Strand, up to Somerset House near Aldwych – before returning back to Hyde Park.

We are very proud that all of our runners completed this challenge and in good time! Through their efforts, these individuals raised an incredible £8,193 for Coram’s Fields. These funds will go a long way towards ensuring we are able to continue maintaining our facilities and running our services.
