In one of Coram’s Fields’ most meaningful and fulfilling initiatives to date, we partnered with Deckers Brands to create the Boxes of Love project, providing essential support to young people facing economic challenges. The initiative created 60 meticulously put-together care packages designed to address the young ones’ immediate needs while also offering genuine encouragement.
Beyond Material Support
Each care package was filled with vouchers, small essentials, food, and other useful items. However, the boxes were also carefully crafted to do more than provide basic necessities.
Deckers volunteers thoughtfully included a personal letter with each box, transforming a simple donation into a meaningful connection with the young recipients.
By adding these heartfelt, personalised messages, the volunteers ensured that each package delivered not just practical support, but also a sense of individual care and encouragement.
Impact on Young Lives
The project’s effect was immediate and profound. The youth team reported an evening filled with “tears, laughter, and lots of joy” as the boxes were distributed. The impact extended beyond the immediate recipients, creating a ripple effect of positivity throughout the community.
